One of the things I adore about girls is their amazing imaginations. A cardboard box becomes a racing car, an empty water bottle a cosmic ray gun, and a pebble is a chunk of moon rock.
I could literally sit there for hours listening to them play.
So, when the team at E-ON got in touch with a fun project, I knew Lil Sis would want to get involved (Big Sis was on a play date that day). The challenge was to imagine the future of energy; the only limit – Lil Sis’s imagination.
She busied herself drawing, before waving a sheet of paper in the air. ‘Mummy,’ she squealed. ‘Come see what I did!’
‘Wow,’ I said ‘What is it?’ ‘A car powered by BANANAS!’ she replied. ‘The bananas go in here, and they turn into flames that come out here…’
Cute right? But that wasn’t even the best part… the E-ON team took her drawing, sprinkled some animation magic over it, and turned it into this adorable quick draw video.
But what, there’s more…
Lil Sis was right in the sustainable energy swing of things by then, and came up with another creation.
Laies and Gents, may I present to you – ‘the Love Car, powered by Love (what else?!)’. I actually think this one is my favourite, because it’s a truly endless and completely free natural resource. Bananas can be eaten, but we’ll never run out of love. Right? Underneath you’ll find its own animation video.
