THOSE CRAZY KIDS // tell me your funny family tales

funny kids

Let’s face it – the beginning of the week can be a bit rubbish; so in a desperate attempt to abolish my Tuesday blues I want YOU to make me laugh.

How, you ask?

Leave a message and tell me about all the crazy, funny and just plain ridiculous things your kiddies have said this week, or send me a pic that made you chortle.

Remember to include the name of your own blog, so you can have a giggle AND hopefully encourage some peeps to pop by, and say howdy!!

It’s been a bit of a hectic morning and we’ve just got back to the house for lunch and naptime. Afer I put the youngest down for a sleep I walked into the lounge to find my 3 year old had pulled all the cushions off the sofa (to make a boat apparently) – he turned round to me and said “Haha my Hearty and a bottle of rum” and then started to dance a little jig. No idea where he’s got that from but he does makes a very cute little pirate!

Most of the time I switch off to my nine year old’s constant monologues and peculiar questions. So when he asked me:”Mummy, what’s your favourite rat-borne disease?” Was that just to check to see if I was listening.

My 2 and a half year old just got his dressing gown off the hanger and said, “I wear my cosy mummy.” I think a ‘cosy’ is a much better name for a dressing gown and that is what they will be known as from this moment. In our house at least!

Kieran (4yr) got me a clanger today when he turned to me suddenly in Boots and said in a crystal clear voice…. “Mummy, why haven’t you squeezed the baby out yet?”. The faintly accusatory tone implied I was letting the side down a bit y holding but “squeezed”? Really? What happened to when I go to hospital and it “popped” out. The disapproving old dears in the prescription line clearly believe I’ve been giving my young son a blow-by-blow account of the stages of labour.

When my daughter started learning about the past tense in English class at school I explained that nouns don’t have a past tense. She told me that I was wrong because the ‘past tense of dog was doggy’.
