Why does my partner put empty packets back in the cupboard?
Why does Tesco not accept its own gift cards online?
Why do all my houseplants die?
Why can I not watch an entire episode of Brothers & Sisters without crying?
Why am I totally rubbish at arts and crafts?
Why does Lucia refuse food off her own plate, yet devour the exact same thing off mine?
Why do my meals NEVER look like the picture, even though I’ve followed the recipe to the letter?
Why does the Kiwi on 3rd & Bird have an Australian accent?
Why did school kids deliberately trample all the beautiful daffodils planted outside my apartment block?
Why do I wake up early on the mornings Lucia sleeps late?
Why can I still not work out the time difference to New Zealand?
Why do I still have to line up behind the American tourists at passport control, even though I’m a permanent resident, own a property, have given birth to a little British person, and have been paying UK taxes for a decade? (I don’t expect the full rights of a citizen, but maybe something in between??)
Answers on the back of a postcard please…

Oh Mummy’s little monkey…all the little things that make us shrug our shoulders and shake our heads! I definately agree with many of your points, particularly the food and sleeping ones! x
This post had me in stitches as I can identify with most. Brothers and sisters is my fav show! Watch it with tissues!
Mummy Bear: I swear, the morning after I posted this I went to get the Crunchy Nut cereal, and he’d PUT IT BACK IN THE PANTRY EMPTY!!!! Aargh!!
‘Cross the Pond: I LOVE that show – it makes me want five kids, so one day I can have those big family dinners too (even though they always end up falling out about something…)
