When Lil Sis was born, she surprised the hell out of OH and me.
We were expecting another dark-haired, brown-eyed, olive-skinned bubs, just like Big Sis. Instead this strawberry blonde appeared, with the palest, creamiest skin, and sapphire blue eyes (which eventually turned blue-grey).
This week’s Gallery prompt is Red, so I picked this photo for several reasons.
The first is obvious: the Red Nose.
The second is her reddish-gold hair. It will inevitably darken as she gets older, but I really hope those beautiful auburn highlights stay.
The third is her red-hot temper. She may have an angelic smile, and give cuddles like her very life depends on it, but she also has a volcanic temper. When it erupts, you’re best to stand back until the molten magma of rage recedes.
Then it disappears, as quickly as it came, and she’s back on your lap, begging for forgiveness: ‘Sorreeeee Mummy, Sorreeeeeee…’
Well, they don’t call them fiery redheads for nothing!
