JUICEOHOLIC (tefal infiny press juicer)

IMG_1694

Hello. My name is Jacqui, and I’m a raving juiceoholic.

I can pinpoint exactly when my obsession began – the moment I unpacked my Tefal Infiny Press Juicer, and revved that baby up. As I fed in the the apple slices I could hear the determined hum of the screw mechanic, as it took those chunks of fruit and showed them no mercy!

As lovely, smooth juice began to flow from the spout, all the crunchy waste bits – skin, pips and pulp – were collected to one side, reducing the clean-up time afterwards. My first experiment was fresh apple, orange, kiwifruit and banana. I knew it would taste good, because it smelled delicious, but it was more than that; it was amazing!

Sweet, tangy, and creamy – you could actually make out all the individual flavours, as well as enjoying the combined fruity five-a-day blend. You can almost feel all that lovely vitamin C being absorbed into your bloodstream. Yummy AND good for you?! That doesn’t happen very often now, does it?

So now I’m pretty much addicted to my Infiny. I look forward to trying new fruit combos (yes, I know how sad that sounds) and I love the health benefits the girls and I gain from drinking fresh juice without any of those nasty preservatives, or added sugar. OH and I have even been known to add a few spoonfuls of my Udo’s Choice Beyond Greens powder, to give it an extra nutritional kick. We’re a bit crazy like that.

But just to prove I’m not a completely boring juice nerd, I also have an idea to freeze a batch, give it a whizz in the blender with some Bacardi, and make Dacquaris! All those vitamins are bound to cancel out a hangover, right? (Shhhh! Just nod…).

This looks great. I LOVE fruit but I rarely eat it because I can’t honestly be bothered with the preparation time (yes I know very lazy). I went through a phase of blending fruit but I’m not very good with ‘bits’ and I may gag a little or just give up half way through a glass for fear of my gag reflex pushing me too far. I have experienced juicing but I like the sound of ‘smooth’ and would be good for my fussy children too!
