‘Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.’
– Walt Disney
Nawwww, isn’t that just lovely? That’s the magic of Disney though; the fact that it’s just as fun and enchanting whether you’re four, or the wrong side of forty.
When I was 15, Mum took my sister and me to the original Disneyland in California. My parents had divorced and remarried, and it was a ‘stop-giving-your-Stepdad-a-hard-time-and-admit-that-he’s-actually-a-really-lovely-fellow’ trip (which he really was).
Of course I wasted half my time perfecting the art of petulance rather than appreciating all the money and effort it had cost them, but to this day, many (many) moons later, I still remember the feeling of wonderment to be standing in actual Disneyland!
Now I have young children of my own it gives me even more excuse to indulge in my love. In a few years they’ll be the perfect age to take to the family theme parks.
With Disney Parks Florida, you’re not just taking a holiday, you’re creating family memories that will last a lifetime.
