Big Sis, to me: ‘Mum, can I have some more acorns please.’
Me, to Big Sis: ‘Some…. what?’
Me, to Big Sis: ‘More acorns, please.’
Me, to Big Sis: ‘Some… acorns?’
Big Sis, to me: ‘Yes, Mummy, some more acorns.’
Me, to Big Sis, confused: ‘Sorry, did you say acorns?’
Big Sis, to me, getting exasperated: ‘Yesssss Mummy – some more peas and acorns.’
*Lightbulb moment*
Me, to Big Sis: ‘Do you mean sweetcorn?’
Big Sis, to me: ‘Ah, yes, Mummy. More sweetcorn please.’

I love those ‘lightbulb’ moments, I don’t think my brain would function at full without them.
That is soooo sweet 😉
my son was saying what i thought was ‘out of the way the breast coming through’ – i even got him to repeat it & repeat it, i was so confused and then the penny dropped – it was ‘the EXPRESS coming through’ (off thomas & friends) lololol.
Ha ha!!! Love it!!!
It’s quite a relief when the penny finally drops, isn’t it??? 😉
It was rather cute – she was getting pretty p’eed off when I didn’t understand her though!! 😉

This made me laugh, my little girl play feeding people acorns when she plays at her kitchen and I have no idea why… maybe SHE means acorns too!!
You mean sweetcorn? Now YOU’RE doing it too!! 😉
It was very cute – although she was getting very annoyed at me before I realised what she was saying!!!! x
Acorn, sweetcorn – easy mistake to make!!!!! 😉
