It’s been a while since I’ve been able to join in with Coombe Mill’s COUNTRY KIDS linky, but it’s good to be back!
This pic was actually taken at a nature park near where we live; we hadn’t been out with the girls in a while and were all desperate to get outside and blow the cobwebs away.
Growing up I hated winter, but since moving to the UK I’ve come to love the chilliest of seasons. I’m not talking those miserable, sleet-filled days, but the ones when the skies are dry and – although grey – there’s a bright luminescence behind the clouds. When your breath comes in quick, steamy puffs, and the frigid air gets your heart galloping, and your blood pumping.
This was one of those days; it was cold, really cold. But we wrapped ourselves up and enjoyed a lovely walk, followed by some play time in the kids’ adventure park, and a hot chocolate in the park cafe afterwards to warm up. Lovely winter family fun!
