Have you ever noticed how all the best things in life start with the letter ‘C’ – chocolate, cuddles, Christmas, camembert, Cornwall… need I go on ?
This weekend the Monkeys and I got to combine three of them when the lovely team at STAY IN CORNWALL sent us a DIY chocolate mould to make our very own Easter eggs. Yum!
In the spirit of full disclosure, I’m going to confess that we totally messed up the first attempt. Let’s just say our chocolate eggs ended up somewhat… scrambled. But second time round we had the whole egg lark sorted, and decided to get a little choccie crazy.
We sprinkled some sugar strands into the mould before pouring in the melted chocolate, then stuffed two marshmallows inside just before joining the two sides of the chocolate shells together *looks pleased with self*.
So that’s two C’s – chocolate and Cornwall – ‘What’s the third?’, I hear you ask. CUDDLES, of course, from my happy (slightly chocolate-crazed) kids. Delicious!
• speaking of Cornwall… if you’re looking for a family friendly getaway this May Bank Holiday remember the iconic bluebells will be in full bloom. Visit the local woodlands to admire these vibrant wildflowers, which bloom in Cornwall first, before moving northwards though the UK. Find some of the region’s best bluebell locations HERE, then check www.stayincornwall.co.uk to find nearby accommodation.

I definitely think a lot of nice things start with a C! That Easter egg looks amazing! Yum! 🙂 xx
It was really fun to make them (and more fun to eat them…) 😉
Oooh lovely!
It was such a nice thing to do with the girls, they absolutely loved it! x
As a Cornwall Mumma I can totally agre it’s a gorgeous place to be!! And then chocolates and cuddles are ace too! Those eggs are harder to do than people think it’s not just me right?x
Hahaha! I’m SO glad you said that – I totally messed the first attempt up! 😉 xx
