If you hadn’t heard the news already, Christmas is nearly here *starts to hyperventilate*. But it needn’t be a time of panic and stress.
No, seriously – Christmas can be easy.
Here are my top tips…
• get next year’s pressies in the New Year sales when HUGE discounts are offered. Just don’t tuck them away somewhere safe and forget all about them (I may, or may not, be speaking from experience).
• if you need to send presents overseas, find out the final posting dates well in advance and mark them on your calendar in BIG BRIGHT LETTERS!
• stock up on super-cheap wrapping paper after Christmas. Get more than you think you need because, well, you’ll always need more than you think you need.
• wrap pressies as you buy them, so you’re not stuck with a huge mountain on Xmas Eve. And don’t forget extra rolls of sticky tape: nothing’s more annoying than sitting down to wrap those last few pressies only to find you don’t have any, and brown packing tape looks bloody awful. Trust me.
• a recent survey by appliance brand BEKO (@BekoUK) found 28 percent of Mums stress out about cleaning the house before Christmas. Make it easy for yourself – book a professional deep clean a week or two beforehand, so it’s easy to keep on top of until the big day.
• arrange a professional oven cleaning session too, but book it a month or two earlier in case everyone has the same idea!
• if you’re tackling a festive meal, don’t try to be Superwoman! Rope in all the rellies in to help out. After all – you want to enjoy your day too.
• if you don’t have a dishwasher, buy one quickly! Xmas should not be spent at the kitchen sink. Fact.
But I’ve save the best-est tip for last…
