Big Sis and Lil Sis both love gorgeous dresses, and happen to look pretty darn cute in them too. However, it’s fair to say they’re not the girliest of girls, so everything they wear not only needs to look good, it needs to pass the tomboy test too.
I first discovered CASHMIRINO at Christmas last year and utterly fell in love with the luxury cashmere knits in their winter range, so when we were asked if the girls would like to try something from their summer collection, it was an obvious YES!
This warmer weather range is made up of top quality cotton and linen pieces, from crisp shirts and floaty dresses, to feminine floral tops and tailored trousers.
The girls were each sent a stunning floral shift dress, with a yoke of delicate peach lace. From the moment they arrived – gorgeously gift wrapped – I could see the great quality of the fabric and construction (essential for football-mad tomboys who put all their clothes through their paces).
I’d never have picked out that colour for the girls myself, partly because they have such different colouring – Big Sis has olive skin, with dark brown eyes, while Lil Sis has blue eyes a classic English rose complexion – but I was pleasantly surprised by how beautifully it suited them both. On Big Sis the dress had a contemporary 60’s silhouette, whereas on Lil Sis it took on more of a whimsical boho feel.
What I also loved was the fact that, although it’s a simple, classic design, it’s completely different from the generic clothing you’d find in high street stores. They’re not going to walk into a party and see another girls wearing the same outfit… unless they both decide to wear their dresses as the same time, that is!

Yes! That’s why I hated wherein dresses when I was a kid – they were always too tight, or scratchy. Mind you, it was the 70’s/80’s, and corduroy had a lot to answer for back then, haha!! xx

I’m guilty of constantly defaulting to leggings and t-shirts for the girls (as it’s just so practical) so when they can to wear dresses they’re always really excited. They have dress deprivation!! 😉 xx

I’m a massive fan – just love the quality of the fabrics, and the fact it’s not mass produced. And their baby clothes… almost makes me want to have another baby, just so I can dress it in Cashmirino, haha! xx
These are beautiful. Don’t you wish more brands made “kids” clothes in adult sizes? It’s so hard to get unique, well-made womenswear in non-synthetic fibres on the High Street. x
