Me: ‘Dinner’s ready – I’ve made you roast chicken, with rice and vegetables.’
Big Sis (actual words): ‘Ewww. No Mummy. Good-bye chicken. Throw away!’
Me (rummaging around for a container I’d kept from a Tesco/Disney kids’ cottage pie): ‘In that case, how would you like some Mickey Chicken??’
Big Sis: ‘Yay! Mickey Chicken! Yeah Mummy, yummmmmm!!’
Me (quickly transferring the food from the regular bowl, to the Micky Mouse-shaped one): ‘There you go!’

Hahaha you trickster! But a very clever way around a picky toddler 😉
Oohh cunning. I will be trying that one next time I get a similar response. That’ll be tomorrow then!
That would probably work on me too to be honest… *is a sucker for Disney*
Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to Tesco go ;-)!
Genius!
Very clever – might have to try that one!
Helen: When asking nicely fails, one must resort to more devious means… 😉
Mummy Dichotomy: We Mums do what we must… 😉
Carole Finds Her Wings: It is kinda cool – I was a little bit envious when I looked at my boring old white, round plate… 😉
Mom-on-a-Wire: First kids’ clothes, now dinners… I think I’m turning into a Tesco superfan!! 😉
Polythere Pram: I tell ya, she’ll be getting everything in that plate from now on – Brussel Sprouts, broccoli, tripe… 😉
So investing in Disney character shaped plates could be the way forward…
Genius that. Made a mental note 🙂
Helen: Yep. 😉
Waterbirth Please: So simple, yet so effective 😉
I am going to need to learn all these tricks!
Mrs E: You’ll learn fast – trust me! It’s all on-the-job training… 😉
Oh I’ve tried this one but it didn’t work for me – gutted!! Well done you though xx
Mummy Matters: Hmmmmm – my kids must be much more gullible than yours… LOL!! x
lol how funny is that, here she only drinks from one cup of she hasn’t got it the same drink tastes gross.
Oh brilliant trick and one I must remember for when the time comes. We are not quite there yet in this house, but suspect that the fussy writing is beginning to appear on the wall.
