To celebrate Community Service Volunteer’s ‘Make a Difference Day’ later this year, organisers are laying down a unique challenge…
They’re giving away packets of pumpkin seeds, and encouraging budding gardeners to grow the biggest gourd. In October all the entries will be measured, and prizes awarded to the plumpest pumpkins. They’ll also provide you with a pumpkin pie recipe from celebrity chef Rachel Allen, so afterwards you can recycle your monster veg into a delish dessert!
