The Monkeys were lucky enough to invited to pick some Clarks party shoes at the end of last year, but it turned out we weren’t the only ones scouting Xmas footwear… by the time we got down to our nearest store the entire festive range had sold out!
It was time to put ‘Plan B’ into action. I’m not much for flounce or frills, so the girls usually wear quite simple dresses. Team that with the fact it’s been blinking cold recently, and the answer became obvious – if we couldn’t get party shoes, we’d get party boots!
The girls both love boots, so they were really excited to take their pick from their quality leather range. I was shocked to find Lil Sis had grown two shoes sizes in just a few months! It was a very good job we’d had her properly measured up, as I’d still be cramming her tootsies into too-small shoes (bad Mummy!).
We picked these two pairs – Lil Sis loved the black leather, with a funky zip detail, while Big Sis chose distressed tan leather with a pretty woven strip on the outside.
The girls were so excited and couldn’t wait to show off their fancy new footwear – Lil Sis even insisted on wearing hers out of the shop. On the practical side, I was impressed too; they were sturdy and comfortable, and gorgeous too, and you could see the quality of the leather at a glance.
But I know what you’re really wondering – do these boots know how to party?! I’ll let you decide…
I love those black ones. I quite fancy a pair for myself.
Oh the thrill of wearing your new shoes out of the shop, and you old ones in the box – it just doesn’t seem the done thing for adults though does it!
Haha! It’s so funny you should say that – as I was typing it made me flash back to being a kid, and how it felt to walk out of the store almost EXPLODING with pride, checking your reflection out in every shop window! 🙂 xx
We love Clarks, and the black boots are gooorgeous! Their fitting service is fab, isn’t it?
