D’YA WANNA SEE MY GARDEN??

So. I’ve bored regaled you with stories of the house renovations we bravely (stupidly?) undertook with a two-year-old, and a 12-week-old baby. 


Now, 16 months later, we’ve finally started attacking the garden. Yay!


When we first moved in the back yard was a wild, horrendous mess. I wouldn’t have been surprised to find a lost Amazon tribe foraging for food in the back corner. 


We had all the overgrown bushes stripped out last year, but it was still dilapidated, dirty, and dangerous, with crumbling brick work, a stagnant fish pond, and lots of lovely levels for children to tumble off. 


As Lil Sis was still crawling last Summer, there was no way we could let the kids out there. Hence my excitement that this year I won’t be trapped in a stifling hot house with two under 4s. Double Yay!


Anyway, I thought you might like to watch the transformation unfold (probably not – which is too bad, since I’m going to show you anyway!). 


So this is how it looked a week ago:

we’re keeping the kid – the rest is going

And here are the girls watching the gardeners, just ’cause it’s cute…

And here they are already enjoying the garden. Roll on summer!!
