Not wanting to waste a single moment of the festive season this year, we put our tree up on November 30 (when I say ‘we’ what I mean is I put the tree up and told the girls they could decorate it, then spent the whole time saying ‘No, no… don’t put it there, put it here…’ until the girls got bored and wandered off).
I was even more excited than usual, as John Lewis had very generously given us a GREEN PINE CHRISTMAS TREE and a selection of FESTIVE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS to adorn its (surprisingly realistic) pine branches. After much drooling over all the glittery wonders, I decided that this year our tree colour scheme would be white, silver, and clear glass.
First in my shopping basket were these beautiful glass onion baubles. Aren’t they gorgeous? And they literally glisten when the Christmas lights catch them, adding extra sparkle to the tree. I also picked up some of these adorable silver hearts, that complement the other John Lewis decorations perfectly.
Do you enjoy dressing the Christmas tree? What colours have you used this year?

I love your choice in decorations. Shopping for Christmas decorations in John Lewis takes me right back to my childhood when I would go on special shopping trips with my Mum and Nanna. I still have an apple made out of pearls which I chose with my Nanna sitting proudly at the top of my tree 🙂
