POWER OF THE POST-IT (make it happen campaign)

It’s just not in my genes to be organised. I’m one of those people who buys a desk diary, uses it religiously for three weeks, then leaves it blank for the rest of the year.

For most of my adult life I’ve relied on Post-it® notes to tell me what I should be doing, and when. Even as I type my computer screen is framed with multi-coloured sticky messages: shopping lists, appointment reminders, notes of things I want to see and do, and a little ‘I LUV YOU MUMMY’ note from Big Sis. Nawwwwwwww!

According to research commissioned by the Post-it® Brand to launch its Make it Happen campaign, I’m not the only one who jots down aims and ideas. In fact, I’m being exceptionally clever by doing so, because writing down your goals can actually help them come true.

‘Writing down your aspirations and keeping them fresh in the mind is a great motivator, ensuring they don’t just become distant daydreams, or things we regret never trying to do,’ explains The Thinking Woman’s Coach, and Post-it® spokeswoman, Jessica Chivers.

Apparently, by seeing your dreams written down in front of you you’re also reinforcing them, which in turn encourages you to realise them. Nifty, right? The study also revealed that, despite having a ‘schedule’ to achieve certain milestones, most woman hit them around six years later than originally planned, while 30 percent had dreams no longer felt they could achieve.

Don’t let YOUR dreams disappear – jot them down and Make It Happen! And if that’s not enough to help you on your way, Post-it® are giving four of you lucky goal-setters £1500 to make your wildest wishes a reality. Seriously. You can find out more HERE.

I am EXACTLY the same with new diaries and journals, I get all excited at a new one and then promptly forget all about it. I love the new Full Adhesives as I can stick them to my purse, the fridge and just about anywhere I can to help me with my post-pregnancy brain!!

A private pilot’s licence eh?? Impressed – let’s get a get together organised and you can tell me more about it 🙂
