MONKEY’S BOOKY LOOK (six little chicks)

six little chicks
Let me tell you something I’ve learned about kids’ books – when you’re forced to read the same story over, and over, and over, and over again, it can get bone-crushingly, heart-stoppingly boring (come on, be honest – you’re nodding, aren’t you?).

So it’s always a relief to find a kids’ book that’s cute and clever, and full of pretty illustrations, and doesn’t rot your brain a little bit each time you re-tell it.

Personally, I can’t resist a good rhyme so I just lurrrved the new RANDOM HOUSE children’s title, Six Little Chicks, by Jez Alborough.
Big Sis and I loved the story (especially the way the the chicks outwit the nasty fox) and the rhyming had a really nice flow. And those little chickens were just so darn cute.

I’ve read this about a dozen times already, and have yet to get that sinking feeling whenever Big Sis requests it. It’s a big thumbs up for the Six Little Chicks.
