ONE BUM TOO MANY (the bubble bum inflatable booster seat)

big sis tries out the bubble bum inflatable booster seat

Big Sis has a pretty full social calendar. There are school fairs, and discos, and a never-ending string of birthday parties. And that’s not even counting the weekday playdates.

But ferrying her friends back and forth always created a quandary, since I already had two kids sitting in the two car seats, and they’re too young to sit in the front.

Dilemma.

Then I was given the chance to try out the very clever BUBBLE BUM booster seat. Suitable for children aged 4-11, the Bubble Bum is inflatable, making it perfect for taxis, rental cars, coach trips, or for those times when you just need an extra seat.

By blowing up and installing the booster seat, your little one can safely use the car’s three-point seat belt. A special clip allows you to position the belt so it doesn’t rub uncomfortably on their neck. And afterwards you can simply deflate it, fold it up, and pop it in your bag!

It’s not a replacement for a full car seat with a 5-point harness, but it’s a great backup for when you’re on holiday, or end up car pooling an extra child. It can also be used regularly, and is as safe as any traditional rigid, backless booster.

It’s soul destroying isn’t it when your children have a better social calendar than you do 🙁 Well I certainly find that to be the case anyway. I have seen these before at The Baby Show and they look really good, I am forever leaving the ‘spare’ car seat in the garage just when I need it because it has taken up too much space in the boot.

First I’ve heard of the Bubble bum but it’s a brilliant idea!
