• the Ladybird boots were provided for the purpose of this review
There’s something a little sad about living your fashion life vicariously through your 2.5 year old. That said, I’m still going to do it.
Growing up in New Zealand in the 70’s my wardrobe consisted of garish floral prints, towelling tracksuits, and plastic sunvisors. Oh, and boot skates (bright blue suede, with yellow stripes – in case you’re wondering).
Today’s kids are spoiled for choice. Now that I’m – shall we say – a tad on the ‘mature’ side for the more fun and frivolous trends, I funnel my fashion dreams through Big Sis instead.
So when Littlewoods got in touch, offering the chance to try something from their current catalogue I grabbed the opportunity to release my frustrated ‘Rock Chick by proxy’ with these fab Ladybird kids’ buckled ankle boots.
Big Sis insisted on pulling them on straight away. She then stomped around the house, stopping only to strike a few poses for the waiting paparazzi (AKA: me). I finally manage to prise them off her feet later that night.
They’re available now on the Littlewoods website in toddler sizes 4-11. Best of all, they’ve just been reduced on sale from £22, to just £16!! www.littlewoods.com

she looks so cool – I’d wear those boots myself!
love dressing my LO up rocking too, he gets away with it much better than I do!
She’s so so beautiful.
Oh my goodness… she looks so rock and roll! Fantastic 🙂
This is very topical for us as DD (aged 2 1/4) seems to be starting a shoe fettish herself.
Yes I was a rocking girl in 1970’s NZ as well! Lots of jumpersuits and skivves for me.
I love the rock chic ladybird boots. Do you think Littlewoods would extend their review offer to my 4 year old DD who would love them?!
Might have a look at their catalogue now. Thanks for review. Becky @ Hazel and Blue
