ROOM MOVIE (gift pack giveaway)

Sometimes a movie comes along that grabs you by the emotions and shakes you to the very core; Room is one of those films.

You might have already heard things about this movie – especially now as it’s been nominated for FOUR Academy Awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay) – but I’m not giving any spoilers.

The only thing I will say is; bring tissues. And if you’re a parent, take that number of tissues, and double it. Because this film will first break your heart, then rebuild your faith in life with its beautiful portrayal of the most purest of relationships – that of mother and child.

For five years – the entire life of the little boy – the pair have been confined to one single 10 foot by 10 foot room. Until, one day Ma sacrifices the most precious thing in her life so that he has a chance to live outside those four walls. Doing so eventually frees them both, but heart wrenching challenges still lie ahead as they feel their way through an alien new world, full of fear and wonder and guilt and hope.

Ultimately, their unfettered love gives them both the strength they need to throw off the confines of their past, and find that normalcy we all take for granted.

To celebrate the UK release of ROOM, I’m giving away this brilliant merchandising gift pack, consisting of a movie poster and soundtrack CD, a copy of the bestselling book the film was based on and three other great dvds: The Imitation Game, Rush, and Blue Valentine.
