SCREAMING, DREAMING & DROOLING

Tantrums aren’t just loud, and slightly embarrassing when carried out in public; turns out they’re exhausting too.

There was Lil Sis, throwing a doozy in the kitchen, because I looked at her the wrong way, or she didn’t like what she was wearing, or I couldn’t understand what ‘Shoo me dub zee dub kisp, Mummy’ meant (it’s hard to tell what kicks her off these days!).

I was trying my best to block it out as I made dinner, when I registered the fact it’d suddenly gone very quiet; aside from a strange grunting noise…

Sound asleep on the kitchen tiles – complete with snoring, and a drool puddle.

  1. Oh yes, I remember those tantrums well. You always hope they have their quota for the day at home so you don’t have to deal with it in public. It’s a bonus if they fall asleep though!

At the mo she seems to have one every single time we go to pick up Big Sis from school. Soooooo draining!!! xx

That’s absolutely brilliant! I do remember those type of tantrums and I don’t miss them, although they turn into something slightly different 🙂

Tell me about it. It’s like living with the Guru of some intricate religion with its own rules and rituals that I don’t understand but woe betide me if I break any of the rules by accident. The other day, may God forgive me, I tidied up while she was at nursery. She cam home and flew into a rage, “DON’T TIDY UP!” she screamed as she threw all the toys back onto the floor. And then it was all over and she wanted a kiss and a cuddle.

  5. Well, that’s definitely proof that they usually have tantrums ’cause they’re tired. Bless!

  6. On no – But that picture is very sweet!

  7. Now that’s brilliant! Falling asleep in the strangest positions is Chattbox’s forte, but she has NEVER managed that one yet – love it.

Awww bless her, my two seem to be struggling with overtiredness too at the moment – fun isn’t it!!!!

  9. Classic! I wish my tantrumming toddler would do that rather than continue the tantrum forever and ever and ever (or what feels like forever and ever and ever).

  10. lol! Love it! x
