RAIN, RAIN DON’T GO AWAY // keeping dry & looking great

Souzu giveaway girls squaring off

‘Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain’ – Vivian Greene

I adore buying clothes for the girls, possibly even more than shopping for myself. The fact they keep growing, and their wardrobe constantly needs updating, means I always have an excuse to indulge in some retail therapy (thanks girls!).

I was recently introduced to SOUZU, a gorgeous children’s online boutique. They stock a huge variety of designer brands and products for boys and girls, from newborn onesies, to party clothes for children up to eight years old. In addition to their wide range of clothing, they also sell children’s furniture, homewares and toys.

When I was given the chance to try out the Souzu site and select a couple of items (yay!) I knew I’d have to think carefully. My girls are very different when it comes to dressing; Big Sis has a funky, androgenous edge – leggings, sweatshirts, logo t-shirts (eurgh, no pink Mum, it’s too girlish!). Lis Sis, however, is the exact opposite. If it has florals, frills, flounces or bows (preferably all of the above), she’s in heaven.

I wanted to get something that was practical, and knew that – with spring approaching – they both needed new raincoats. Souzu actually had a great sale on, so I had a good browse through the range of Hatley coats (love them!) before settling on a plain navy one lined with red stripy fleece for Big Sis, and a blue and pink floral print for Lil Sis.

Ironically, it was raining too hard for us to take any photos for a couple of days, so when the skies finally brightened I grabbed the girls and we went on a little adventure in the fields near where we live…

Yes, I’m biased, but they’re pretty cute, right?

I’d pick one of the boys’ smart shirts from The Oxford Shirt Company, as I need to find something more grown up for my eldest to wear for occasions. I’d also pick a dog coin purse for both my boys as I’m considering starting them with pocket money soon (lawks!).
