SPLASHTACULAR FUN AT LEGOLAND! (duplo valley review)

Let’s face it. The best part of being a parent (besides having cuddles on tap) is having the perfect excuse to visit theme parks again.

We had our first trip to LEGOLAND WINDSOR last summer, but Lil Sis was having an off day, and I spent more time calming down her tantrums than enjoying the rides. So I was super excited to get an invite to the opening of their new Duplo Valley water world the other weekend.

OH was staying home to watch some football match (don’t ask me which one, I switched off the moment he said the word football) so we decided to each have a little one-on-one time with the girls. I’d take Lil Sis with me, and OH would take Big Sis ten-pin bowling (her new favourite past-time) before the big game started.

Lil Sis spends most days at home with me, but because I’m also working, it’s not always ‘quality’ time. So I was really looking forward to a day of fun with Bubs.

And here it is!

let the lego fun begin!

starting the day with a little train ride

checking out the new play area at duplo valley water world

lil sis loved the toddler-friendly fairy tale brook boat cruise

having a blast in duplo valley’s splash safari

snap! making a little lego friend

a little trip to the lego store on the way out

We had such a lovely day, and Lil Sis LOVED getting a good soaking in Splash Safari, with its water sprays, fountains, puddles and jets. For older kids there is the impressive looking Drench Towers, with its six River Rapids waterslides.

The weather might not have been ideal, but we still had a Splashtacular time, and I can’t wait to take both the girls back next time!

• we were provided with food vouchers and press passes to Legoland

    Looks like a fab day out, so nice to spend quality time with one babe isn’t it? And doesn’t Lil Sis look more like you each day!

    this looks great and I definitely want to take Isla and Noah there this year – they love Lego Duplo and anything water related!
