After visiting the fab Tantrum kid’s hairdressing salon a few weeks ago, I was given the chance to try some of their new hair products.
Unfortunately, Lucia has super sensitive skin and can’t use anything fragranced – which is where my Twitter buddy, and fellow Kiwi, Utterly Scrummy, stepped in.
She and her three lovely daughters kindly agreed to try the Tantrum shampoo and conditioner on our behalf, and report back on their findings.
So here’s what they thought: ‘My 3 daughters aged 10, 7 and soon to be 4 years of age all tried out the Tantrum Shampoo and Conditioner with an apple fragrance.
The consensus was that it smelled really lovely – when the package arrived in the post they all spent a good 10 minutes sniffing the open bottles! I loved the fact that the products are not tested on animals, and there are no harsh parabens either.
We tried both products during bath time that night. My husband said he would have preferred a 2-in-1, as he though the extra step for the conditioner was a hassle. It didn’t bother me or the girls though.
Their hair smelt gorgeous afterwards, and felt really soft. And it was so easy to manage! There were no knots or tangles when their hair was brushed that night. The next morning I was still able to style their hair easily with no fussing, and didn’t even need to use detangling spray.
I must confess that I tried the products on my hair as well. I found that my hair was softer and easier to manage, but not fly away or frizzy. I think I almost prefer it to my usual shampoo and conditioner. The fragrance was certainly better.
The girls loved both the shampoo and conditioner and are now keen to swap from their leading kids brand of shampoo. They did tell me to suggest a pink version with a berry scent (anything pink is coveted in our house as they are very girlie girls!).
So it was a definite thumbs up for the Tantrum shampoo and conditioner, and I’d be happy to buy them in the future.’
