Screamy came to life thanks to the team at Innocent Drinks who threw down a dastardly Halloween challenge – create your freakiest fruit and veggie monster, and reveal him to the world. So, behold, mine and Big Sis’s efforts. Mwaaahahaha! (that was an evil laugh).
Those of you well versed in your vegetable trivia will instantly recognise his butternut squash head, satsuma eyeballs and ears, cherry tomato pupils, carrot stick lips, and pear probiscus. Atop his squash head – a rather fetching mini-pumpkin hat.
Don’t feel bad if yours doesn’t look as terrifying as Screamy – not everyone can share our supreme veggie-sculpting talents. I’m sure you’re really good at something else.
The first 1000 entries will get their mitts on a set of glow-in-the-dark numeral fridge magnets – the perfect accompaniment to the Innocent alphabet set quite possibly already gracing your fridge door.
I’m sure you’ll agree, Screamy is both a terrifying fruit and veggie monster AND a wonderful base for a warming winter soup. What a talented chap.

What a refreshing change from the ubiquitous hollowed out pumpkin. And Screamy is not the only clever chap – I’m very impressed with ‘probiscus’ 😉
Very Picasso 😉
