WANNA PIZZA THIS? // our 365 days of netflix

I can’t believe it’s been an entire year since we were selected to become part of the Netflix Stream Team.

I love days out with the girls but, equally, I adore knowing we have a weekend coming up when we don’t have to go anywhere, or see anyone. When we can just hang out in each other’s company and just do nothing in particular.

For six years after Big Sis was born, followed by Lil Sis two years later, I was on mum duty 24/7. OH works really long hours, and used to work six days a week (luckily not  anymore, but, still, the girls rarely see him during the week).

We had no family nearby (mine were literally as far away as you can get!), and when Lil Sis was a newborn we moved to a new county, so had no close friends to trade childcare favours with either. So for a very long time it was pretty much just me doing all the day-to-day parenting stuff. For an EXTROVERTED INTROVERT (look it up – it’s a real thing) who’d always loved, possibly even preferred, her own company, it was really tough to never have a single shred of me-time.

Which is why, when the girls got old enough that I didn’t have to watch them every microsecond, I relished getting some freedom back. To this day I choose to spend it by grabbing my iPad, closing the bedroom door, and logging on to NETFLIX. Pure bliss!

But I digress…

So we’ve been StreamTeam members for the past year, and now it’s time to step aside and let some more lovely bloggers join the Netflix family. For our final goodby *sniff* we were invited to enjoy a pizza party, on our Netflix pals.

Big Sis was thrilled, and Lil Sis – whose all-time favourite food is pizza – was beside herself with excitement (can you tell by the photo?).

We made cheese, tomato and ham pizzas on pitta bread, and after dinner the girls settled down to watch Victorious, while I watched Riverdale (I was about three episodes in before I clicked on to the Archie comics tie-in, d’oh!). 

The perfect Stream Team swan song; thanks Netflix, it’s been real.
