Big Sis and I hadn’t had a chance to hang our on our own for a while, so when an invite arrived to the launch of the new Barbie movie when it was released on DVD, I knew it was the perfect chance for a little Mum and daughter bonding time.
We headed into London Zoo, where the Barbie Mariposa and the Fairy Princess screening was being held, and mingled with celebs such as Denise van Outen, and Jasmine from TOWIE.
So we made fairy princess wands, and ate cupcakes, and got to meet actual Barbie herself! Well, we would have – if Big Sis hadn’t gone all shy and refused to go up for a proper photo, leaving me to snatch a paparazzi-style shot instead!
Afterwards we were allowed to explore the Zoo, and headed straight to the Butterfly House to admire the fluttery butterflies…
We just had time for some ice-cream and a visit to the gift shop for Lil Sis, before catching the train back home. The perfect mummy/daughter day!
