I’ll let you in to a little secret: I make out that I’m watching family films for the girls, but in actual fact I’m totally watching them for myself!
There’s literally nothing I’d rather do than grab a bag of crisps and settle down for a good old cheesy flick. If it has princesses and evil queens and happy endings, that’s my nirvana, but I’ll pretty much watch anything that has a colourful cover, a catchy soundtrack and a G-Rating.
So you can imagine my utter joy when I was asked if I wanted to run a giveaway of the top 50 movies for kids. ‘Does Cinderella want to go to the ball?!’ I replied. I didn’t really say that (but now I kinda wish I had), but I did say yes, please!
The reason behind this fabulous promotion is the launch of the ‘Must See Movies Before You Grow Up’ campaign. Run by educational charity, INTO FILM, these movies have been carefully selected by industry experts and Into Film’s own programming team, and are suitable for children up to the age of 11.
You’ll find a delightful cross-section of the most magical and timeless family films, from timeless tales and animation classics, to modern day blockbusters (all of which are available to buy from retailers this summer).

I would watch Free Willy first. This is a film I must have watched a hundred times growing up and it made me tear up every time, it’s a timeless classic
