A timely post – whilst bathing baby 7mnths old tonight, ds2 (age3) downstairs drawing over our wooden floor with felt tip pens. Ds1 (5) “helpfully” mopping up with baby wipes leaving a wonderful marbled effect!! I love bedtimes when dh is home late!!

Whatever I give my DD on toast, in a sandwich, or on a cracker, she licks off and returns the bread/cracker for a top-up of jam or cottage cheese. I’m thinking of just spreading a plate.

Mummy’s Little Monkey: I still can’t quite believe how much mess she managed to make in such a short amount of time!!! For some bizarre reason she just loves eating butter spreads straight from the tub. I’ve tried it, for research purposes, and I really don’t understand the appeal. On hot fruit toast? Sure! Big fistfuls of fake butter shoved into your gob? Not so much!!! And why did she rub it in her hair??????

My 4 year old and my 2 yr old have an obsession with butter – they’ve always got their fingers in it given half the chance!!!!
