SAND DUNES (north devon)

Sand Dunes L

The other day we made a flying visit to North Devon, travelling down on Friday for a birthday party then driving back home the next day.

Before we left we detoured past the beach in Instow for a bite to eat. It was such a gorgeous, sunny day that (despite the grownups having very delicate heads) we just had to take a walk along the beach.

The girls absolutely loved it, and spent the next hour rolling and jumping down the sand dunes, whooping and squealing as they went. All that crisp, fresh sea air and running about must have worn them out – they were both sound asleep within half an hour of us setting off back home.

Next time we’ll plan a longer stay, so we can taken in more of the stunning sights of NORTH DEVON.

Saw the title and had to stop by! I love North Devon. We visit every year. Such a wonderful place, glad you had such a good time.

    • We ADORE North Devon/Cornwall; my OH actually grew up in Bideford and Milton Damerel, so we manage to get down that way at least a couple of times each year. Whereabouts do you stay?? xx

Love the perspective of this shot, and great subject, the blue of the sky is so deep as well 🙂

    • Isn’t it just the most amazing shade of blue, Ashley? It really reminded me how stunning (and sometimes taken for granted) the Devonian beaches are. 🙂
