This is a picture of me drawn by four-year-old Lil Sis.
I know what you’re thinking – what lovely long eyelashes I have! I’m quite partial to the multi-coloured hair, and the neck that goes right up to the base of my mouth. And let’s not overlook the green, red and black nose – not dissimilar to the Afghanistani flag, if you turn your head to one side, and squint your eyes…
This weekend is, of course, Mother’s Day. This day is important for a squillion reasons, but mostly because us Mums work really hard for 365 days of the year to ensure everyone is fed, and warm, and loved, and happy.
We don’t do it for the thanks, we do it because what brings us the most pleasure in the whole world is to see our children smiling, but it still feels great to know our efforts are appreciated. It’s easy to overlook the people who do the most for you, and that’s why Mother’s Day is so important – it’s a day to stop thinking about how great Mum is, and actually tell her.
So, to celebrate all the amazing Mums out there, I’m teaming up with PILOT PENS UK to run this great giveaway. Get your kids to draw a picture of you (it can be pen, felt-tips, paint – whatever inspires your mini portrait painter) and upload it to your blog with ‘My #PILOTMUM’ somewhere in the title or text.
Come back and enter the post in the Linky below you’ll go in a random draw to win a delicious Jo Malone Lime, Basil and Mandarin scented candle, worth £40, and a bundle of Pilot pens.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE… Tweet your picture or blog link with the hashtag #PilotMum and we’ll RT through @Jax2000 and @PilotPenUK, and give one lucky Tweeter the chance to win an additional bundle of lovely Pilot pens. Good luck!!
(T&Cs: e: 23.59, 19/3/15, UK only, blog post title or text must include #PilotMum)
