Happiness comes from many different things: a visit from an old friend, a cuddle with your child, finding a fiver in a coat pocket… and new kitchen bar stools. 

 

Well, they make me happy at least. 

 

When we moved into our house Lil Sis was just a few weeks old. My work took a back seat while the munchkin was at her teeniest, so we had to be economical with our reduced funds. 

 

We bought some cheap stools – nothing fancy, but they did the trick. Now, three years later, we’re very slowly replacing the ‘it’ll do for now’ furniture with stuff that’s a bit fancier. 

 

Like these Antonio Citterio Kartell bar stools (they’re designer, don’t you know?). I spotted them on LAKELAND FURNITURE website and instantly fell in lust. I loved their contemporary look, and glossy white finish, and they’re actually really comfy too (always a bonus for chairs…). One slightly melted credit card later, I finally had the stools I’d been hankering after since we moved in.
