Don’t be jealous, but the other day I was sent a box of brownie bites from THE SWEET REASON COMPANY. Actually, do be jealous, as these were quite possibly the best I’ve ever tried in my entire life: ever-so-slightly crunchy outside, with a soft, rich centre that literally melted in my mouth.
And the flavours… they were all so delicious I almost felt guilty picking a favourite, but the Coconut one? Oh. My. God. The Honeycomb had a thin candy-like shell that reminded me of the homemade fudge I used to make when I was a kid. Salted Caramel was the perfect balance between sweet and salty, and Peanut Butter was sticky, and crunchy and utterly moreish.
They’re just the right size – big enough to make you feel like you’ve had a treat, but not large enough to make you feel guilty (if you can stop at just one, that is). They come in flat boxes that fit through your mailbox and – if you can bear to give them away – they make brilliant gifts.
I had the eight-piece pack (£20.50), so got two of each favour, but the selection boxes also come in sizes of 18 bites (£28.50) and 32 bites (£52.00). When you select your bespoke box you pick four flavours from the one I’ve mentioned above, and Chocolate Chunk Orange. AND all five flavours come in gluten-free versions.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… you can even mix and match your boxes to include Tea Pigs tea bags, Millionaire’s Shortbread and Fudge.
Anyway, enough talking about them… let’s give one away! One of you lucky monkeys is going to win your very own box of delectable brownie bites from The Sweet Reason Company; not just eight of them, by the way, but 18. That’s enough for the whole family to enjoy. Or, hide them from the kids and the hubby and you can have two every day for over a week. Heheheh.
To enter to win, simply follow the Rafflecopter prompts below (e: 26/6/15). Please note: I WILL check to see if the winner has complied with the entry requirements; if they haven’t, their entry will be voided.

Oh my giddy aunt. Just as a matter of academic curiosity, in case I win, which one looks most like a plain brownie (for the fussy five-year-old, who thinks we’re trying to poison him) and which one in your opinion would tastewise most appeal to the seven-year-old, who is adventurous but not as far as coconut)? And last question, is the coconut really lusher than the lush-sounding salted caramel? Confession time: it’s Saturday night and I have no chocolate in the house, so I am living vicariously through this lovely blog post instead! x
Well, Madam, being the brownie connoisseur that you clearly are, I would suggest the Honeycomb brownie to suit your son’s delicate palate.
Salted Caramel is, as you guessed, purely divine. However, I’ve always had a deep-rooted love for the tropical treasure, so will always show a bias towards them: I simply go nuts for Coconuts (see what I did there?).
Oh they look very yummy, fingers crossed!
